From Departure to Arrival features paintings and mixed media works that combine abstraction with some loosely representational elements. The depiction of eyes evokes our means of visual perception and that there is an observer of what has taken place. Motifs around modes of transport suggest decision points based on interpretations of our perceptions. Billboards and Newsrooms create the architecture that our perceptions hang on. The series deal with themes around how our perceptions alter the construction of our identities and the way we relate to the world.
